Based on the time of the year, the cemetery gate and Beth She’arim Mausoleum maintain different visiting hours.

The office is generally open Sunday – Friday from 8:30 to 4:00 (see below for exceptions).

Office Hours

The general office is open Sunday – Friday from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM

Funeral Directors and Family Service Counselors are always available.

  • If a passing has occurred, call 847-255-3520  24/7
  • The office is closed for both religious holidays and for secular federal holidays.

Gate Hours

The cemetery gates and mausoleum are open Sunday – Friday.

  • From October 16 through March 31, the gate hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • From April 1 through October 15, the gate hours are from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM

* On religious holidays the gates remain closed.

Religious Holidays

On these religious holidays, the gates and the office are closed.

  • The first day of Rosh Hashanna
  • Yom Kippur
  • The first day of Sukkot
  • Shemini Atzeret
  • The first day of Pesach
  • The seventh day of Pesach
  • The first day of Shavuot

Secular Holidays

On these secular holidays, the office is closed but the gates remain open:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day
