I am sorry to be hearing about Aunt Pauline’s passing. She was a loving, curious and generous human being. She was always interested in what and how our family was doing. For many years, we would come to Chicago every spring to exhibit at the art fair and we would always make a point of getting together with Pauline. Even in her advanced years she would meet us….after work!!…and we would enjoy long, lively dinners with her. She has a great memory for family. She met my son when he was an infant and didn’t see him after he was a toddler. Yet she always asked about him. I wish I could tell her what he’s up to now, at age 14. Likewise, she was always curious about my brother Aaron, his wife Anne, and their two children Nathaniel and Abigail. And, of course, my father Alan, now 88, who is her nephew, enjoyed family reminiscences with Pauline. I can almost hear Pauline’s voice, when she first met my son as an infant, saying “I could just eat him up!” There was such love and joy in her voice. We send our love out to all the family, Joanna Fink
