Obituary

Arnold Neal Robbins, age 82; beloved husband of the late Marlene; loving father of Barry (Janet), Ken, Candy (Max) and Elliott (Linda); loving grandfather of Richard (Liza), Alexandra, Luca, Jonathan, Zoe and Joshua; dear brother to Millie. Member of the Roosevelt High School & Roosevelt University basketball teams. Avid racquetball player, member of the “Juicers” racquetball club. Proud founder and owner of The 5-7-9 Shops, Inc. a petite and small size women’s clothier. Funeral services, Thursday 2:30, Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Arnie & Marlene were cherished friends of mine. Arnie was a great Racquetball buddy, and I was there during a tournament when Arnie had his heart attack, and accompied him to the hospital along with Marlene. He was a loveable wonderful guy, who loved racaquetball, and played great, and it was always a treat to be in the court with him. He will be sorely missed. I had just recently talked to him on his 82nd birthday in November. Our condolences to his whole family. Though we mourn his passing, we must also celebrate the great memories he left us.

Always loved “mumbles”. Played in Park District games after the Korean conflict was over. Made the Roosevelt BB team after Arnie graduated. Marlene was a classmate and a good friend. I hope they are together again. My sincere regrets to the family.
