Gerald Barinholtz

JB was an inspiration to us all. He lit up our lives with his wit and keen sense of humor, and always let you know what he wanted. ( I will even miss the sardines with onions). He was fiercly devoted to all of his children and grandchildren that he spoke so often about with adoration and pride.

It was our honor and pleasure caring for him ,and I for one will miss him very much. He was an inspiration to all who had the pleasure to know him. He shared so many stories with me, and last year when I went on the White Pass Railway in Alaska, JB told me that he had helped to build that railroad in Alaska when he was a young man. He had many stories that he shared. Some that brought me to tears, and some they made me laugh so hard I could hardly catch my breath.

Thank you Gene and Kelly for entrusting us with his care. He was a friend to all and became family to all of us. May he rest in peace.

Over the course of the past several years JB was a ray of sunshine to everyone here at Alden Estates of Barrington. He was an advisor, a friend, a confidant and a brother to all who walked among our walls. He enjoyed spending his time with all of his friends here by actively participating in activities as well as serving as a board member on our Resident Council. He was always looking to not only better himself but to also better those around him. He befriended many new families and residents who were always appreciative to accept his words of wisdom. He deeply touched the lives of not only his fellow residents but also many of our staff. Thank you to the Barinholtz Family for giving us the opportunity to care for him. He will be missed by us all.
