Helen Edith Anderson, nee Dierker, born May 16, 1919, in Palatine to Herman Dierker and Wilhelmina, nee Haemker, died January 30, 2013 at N.E. Hospice Center in Barrington. Helen graduated Palatine High School and married Glenn F. Anderson on May 11, 1946 at St. Paul Church of Christ in Palatine, where she was a life long member. Mrs. Anderson worked for a short time for the Florsheim Company in Chicago before going to work for the Jewel Tea Company in Barrington from 1948 until 1984. Her favorite hobbies were baking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Glenn (JoAnne), Charles (Marjorie) and Allen; grandchildren, Robert (Maureen) and Arthur (Amanda) Anderson, Beth (Giles) Eternick, Carol (Rory) Baker and Brian Anderson; great grandchildren Porter, Colton, Rowan, Chayla, Leisl, Evan, Kyleah and AJ. Helen was preceeded in death by her husband Glenn and her parents. Visitation Monday 1:30 PM until the time of the chapel service at 3:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlingotn Heights. Interment Randhill Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, 144 E. Palatine Road, Palatine, IL 60067.
