When I was a little girl, and the family was very large they would all get together. It was a wonderful time in my life. One of my fondest memories was Uncle Sol’s voice. It was always so magical. It sounded like no one else’s. It was not deep, nor high, but all the ranges of the scale. He never yelled at us kids. He just smiled at us as if to say, I remember. I remember doing the same thing and getting in trouble. Over the years I did not see him. But I can still see him in my minds eye, smiling. Snookey.
