Obituary

Cecile “Cissy” Weinberg, nee Belkin, 78, accomplished business woman, beloved wife and best friend of Alvin “Al” for 59 wonderful years; loving and devoted mother of Pamela (David) Brassfield, Michael (Hagit) Weinberg and Gayle (Fred) Kalmin; adored Nana of Michaella, Nicholas, Adam, Danielle, Grace and Sam; cherished sister of Alma (Richard) Shure; treasured Aunt Cissy to many and friend to all. Chapel service Monday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any one of the organizations that provided compassionate, loving and dignified care to our Cissy: Midwest Palliative and HospiceCare Center, Kellogg Cancer Center or Northwest Memorial Hospital. Dear Al & Family,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. I saw the notice of Cissy’s passing in yesterday’s paper and would have attended today’s service but I am having some health issues myself, which prevented me from attending.
I have many great memories of your family during the years I babysat for Pam & Michael when you lived in Rogers Park and my schoolmate Judy babysat for your brother. My favorite memory was probably the year that Cissy got Pam a “Hanukkah Bush”because she was so enamored with the Christmas Tree she saw when we visited my mom’s house. I would have liked to reconnect with your family and seen the young woman Pam grew into. I hope the rest of your family is well and you will all be remembered in my prayers, Maureen (Nolan) Seleski
