Shirley L. Levy

My deepest sympathy to the family of Shirley Levy, I have missed my conversations with Shirley for some time now. She was always full of Joy and laughter. I only found out today that Shirley had pass away. My heart goes out to all the lives that Shirley touched. I had many conversations with Shirley and we always talked about our (my children) her Grandchildren. Many funny stories, one in particular her granddaughter that studied in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Farewell for now.

It is with great sadness that I hear of Shirley’s passing. She was a woman of great patience and humor for those of us who in our youth frequented the Levy house for conversation, music, ping pong and laughter. Shirley was supportive, encouraging and tolerant of the bunch of us, and I remember watching man’s first steps on the moon with her in 1969. She was not readily ruffled, but if frustrated by Ralph or Keryl or any of us, could do so in a fashion that was loud and clear, but also potentially leaving us all smiling through her maternal efforts! While not of her faith, I joined her and the family at their temple on more than one occasion, which speaks to the openness of her heart. I also enjoyed her good counsel. It was my good fortune to remain in touch with her these many years, usually over the holidays but once during a trip she took to Las Vegas, and always enjoyed hearing from her. I have been lucky to have had her touch the fabric of my life. I want to extend my most sincere condolences to Ralph and the rest of the family, but know that she shall always remain with us in our hearts.
