How do I begin. Mr. Binder was one of the top 5 teachers at Carl Schurz HS. when I attended in 1957. I am 72 years old and I still remember the names and classes of animals that he “Drilled” into us. A truly amazing teacher and a wonderful human being.
I remember when one of my distinguished class mates called him “Julie”. That student was immediately called out of class and I am certain Mr. Binder give him instructions on how to properly address a teacher. That student went on to become a doctor, and I am shure he will never forget the experience!
As or class of 1961 prepares for its 55th reunion I plan on having a moment of silence to honor the life of Julius Binder , teacher of our lifetime.
