Henry “Hank” Render

I remember Hank’s wonderful smile, One of the reasons Lou got on early, on Sun. morning, which for us, meant an early Saturday night bedtime, so Lou was in shape to compete with Hank on the golf course. Not only the family were friends but today when our daughters are now approaching 60, they are still in touch by phone and email, although miles apart. His wife Barbara had a lot to do, with making Hank such a great guy, by having a wonderful home life, etc. Although we live many states apart, I have nothing but fond memories of extraordinary neighbors. I will miss you, Hank. I admired your dedication to building and sustaining your synagogue. You were a good father, good friend and a great neighbor. Rest peacefully. Doris Sopkin

Hank was a great neighbor who made Kedvale Ave.. a better place to live.I have many fond memories of the times we spent golfing together at “Canal Shores Country Club”, almost every Sunday morning at 7:00AM. I hated when he brought Bobby along,because he was so slow,and took so many practice swings. I remember the Labor Day street block parties we had,and the many times he helped me with difficult chores on my House.I remember how sad I was when he moved away. I feel that sadness again now
