Elaine L. Whitman, nee Miller, 92, beloved wife of the late Herman; cherished mother of Sandy (Norma) Whitman and Andrea (Marc) Friedman; proud and loving grandmother of Heather (Adam) Garrison and Aaron (Melissa) Friedman; devoted daughter of the late Fannie and Samuel Miller; dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend of many. Elaine was a wonderful role model, running a small children’s store in the 1950’s, serving as president of a local cancer research group and serving as a great example for her children. Chapel service Wednesday, September 7th, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
