Desiree Blumenthal, age 70, beloved wife of Dr. Barry Blumenthal, happily married for 50 years; loving mother of Grant (Julia) Blumenthal, Tami (Greg) Levy and Gavin Blumenthal; cherished “Nanee” of Justin, Madison, Jasmine, Aryeh and Ruby; treasured sister of Esme (Aubrey) Isaacs and Mervyn (Jackie) Rosenberg; adored as an aunt and cousin of family around the world. Memorial service Friday Oct 5, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. I remember the first time I met Desiree, I thought wow what a beautiful, poised lady with a wonderful accent! Anytime we met Desiree she was always warm and pleasant with me. I only wished that my daughter could have married into such a great family! Desiree will be loved and remembered forever by her husband, Barry, her three children, Grant, Tammy, and Gavin, and all her wonderful grandchildren who all loved her very much.
