I became friends with Eddy & Burt back in LakeView HS. Even thou I wasn’t Jewish I was practicing Judaism. The guys took a liking to me immediately along with another I think called Paul Lawsikie? They told everyone I was Jewish! I joined all the Jewish Clubs they belonged to & went to all the Jewish Socials & parties where I met the love of my high school life Karen Kirishenbaum. Those were some of the best times of my life. The end of summer of high school graduation I joined the Marines to go off & fight for our freedom in Vietnam. Eddie & Burt & Paul the night before I shipped off to boot camp took me out to dinner & we all went playing pool in some pool hall (8 ball). Burt & Eddie & Paul were the best of the best! I am sorry I lost touch with them but now they are in haven. Shalom my friends, I will & have never forgotten you.

I will always remember Burt as someone who cared more about how others were feeling, while never complaining about his own ill health. He will be missed.

Cousin Jackie is my first cousin and was thrilled when she married Burt. He had a gentle kind soul. Through the years Wendy has been a part of my life my children and grandchildren. I am sad that at this moment in time we can’t have a true respected funeral that Burt truly deserved. Love to the family Cousin Merle💜🦋
