Stan came to me when he was battling a class action lawsuit with ugly dealing in family court. I had one of the absolute nastiest and dirtiest divorces he had seen. The way the judicial system was so corrupted, he discovered one slight difference in the class action lawsuit and what I was going through that deemed me ineligible to join. After learning of all the things my kids and myself were going through, instead of walking away, he took on my case pro bono. He saved not only my life, but my children’s lives as well. To top it off, he said I had a malpractice suit against one attorney that was representing me. I am so sorry to hear about his passing. I am thankful to know it was in his sleep. I owe my life to him. We became friends along the way. We would meet for lunch and just chit chat. He always called me in POA. Which stood for “pain in the a**” but always playfully. May he forever rest in peace and I will never forget him. My deepest condolences to his family.

Sadly I just found out about Stan.
Stan was a friend and a professional for me. Stan walked me thru the ugliest time of my life, and he made me laugh thru all if it! I will never ever forget him..

To the family of Stanley Kaplan, Esq.
Mr. Kaplan appeared before me many times while I served as a judge in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County and in the Second Municipal District, Skokie Courthouse. I found him to a zealous advocate for his clients, always well-prepared and conducting himself in a measured and professional manner. I admired his demeanor and skills. Mr. Kaplan was a credit to the Illinois bar and will be missed.
Please accept my personal condolences on your loss.
Wishing you pleasant and lasting memories to fill your hearts now and always.

My memory of grandpa was always feeling good at school telling the guys my grandpa was Michael Jordan’s lawyer and was the best because no matter what nothing as we all know nothing phases him. I always loved when grandpa would invite us to his house for brunch and family meets or when we would meet him over at his spot max and ermas to have family fun oh and I will never forget the infamous Italian maggianos he loved that spot to and celebrating haunukah with him is always the best way of having good times with Stan especially when he picked me up when I was a little kid and we went to the the batting cages and some guy was really in a rush and cut us off and grandpa sped up to him and yelled shalom and the guy didn’t know what to do or say I love grandpa Stan as I always called him and my relationship with him was always very happy peaceful and I wish I could of spent more time with him it always bothered me and everybody that we couldn’t spend much time together with him because indeed he was remarkably strong funny intelligent and a very special place you will always have in my heart forever you are infinity grandpa I will make you and your son my father proud love you so much
