Howard Shapiro, 82, beloved husband of Lorie, nee Blum for over 60 wonderful years; loving father of Russell (Lori), Mitchell (Karin), and Suzanne (Matthew) Goldberg; cherished Papa of Alana, Eli, Abigail, Jonathan, Emily, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Jordan; caring brother of Estelle (late Joe) Engberg and the late Harold (late Ida); dear uncle, cousin and friend of many. Howard was a CPA who practiced in Chicago and Northbrook for 40 years. Services and Shiva private. Interment Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. Howard was a quiet calm figure who was a kind soul. I was a child of about 7 or 8 and invited to his wedding. I’ll always remember that. I know he will be missed.
