Roy Diamond, 97, WWII Veteran, beloved husband of Marion, nee Savitzky, for 58 years; loving father of Mark (Evelyn), Steven (Nicki), Michelle, Rex (Laura), and Cindy Diamond Quinlivan; cherished grandfather of Stacy (Jeremy), Amy, Akasha, Abram, Samara, Shoshana (Brian), Hannah, Hadassah (Trevor), Sean (Brittney), and Liana (Ryan); adored great grandfather of 17; caring brother of the late Judith. Service and shiva are private. Interment Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. My heart was so saddened to hear about Mr. Diamond’s passing. Because of him, I was able to give my children a wonderful home and education. I will always be grateful to him for giving me a chance to prove myself.

My heart goes out to his whole family. I know he was loved by so many. I remember how proud he was of all his children and how much he adored his grandchildren. May he rest in peace and I hope there is golf in heaven for him.
