Harriet Schwartz, nee Hadesman, 81, beloved wife of the late Louis; loving mother of Cheri Grossman and Barry (Lynn) Schwartz; cherished Nanna of Sam (Taylor), Jake, Holly, Katie and Andrew; devoted daughter of the late Maurice and Betty; treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many. I worked with Harriet at Jewish Children’s Bureau in the late 80s, early 90s. I was in my twenties and just moved to Chicago. I felt like Harriet was a mom away from home….she would always ask about my dates…”if you want sparks, wet your finger and stick it in an electric outlet” 🙂 I adored her and am sorry we lost touch over the years.
