My aunt Chickie (Charlotte) was an amazing lady, I always enjoyed spending time with her, and I found her to be so wise and so very kind. I admired her love and devotion to her family, the way she always sent cards and gifts to ALL of her very many grandchildren, and nieces and nephews and that included many generations going forward, along with her devotion to her three sons. She was a marvelous hostess, I recall her parties in her home when she was young, her marvelous home cooked food, her welcoming smile. She even entertained in her golden years! She would drive her friends to places, she had friends from childhood! She was a kind sister to my mother, “Doodie”, Estelle, as a child I would go with my parents to visit Chick and Uncle Herbie (who she was devoted to)on Sundays. Doodie loved visiting her sister. I admired that Chick was a hard worker, working full time until her retirement. She kept a spotless house, but also a beautiful one with many paintings and plants everywhere. She was devoted to be Jewish, she was a proud member of Hadassah, active in the group with leadership, and enjoyed a visit to Israel. She would always smile at children, she loved children. She was a bright star to everyone who knew her!
