Jess Forrest

My condolences to Jess’s family and to my dear friend April Ware, Jess’s significant other and partner for the past six years. Jess was very devoted to April and she to him, their love for each other was so beautiful to be a part of. My heart goes out to April for her loss. We will miss all of our dinners and laughs we had together,Jess will be missed by all.

I was a new friend. I met him six years ago and was struck by how curious and enthusiastic he was about so many things. We went to the opera and to Trivia nights. He adored his family and was so proud of them. His death is a great loss and I will miss him.

On a trip we took with Lynn and Jess, every time there was someone who needed to be tipped, both Burt and Jess tipped them. We didn’t realize we were double tipping till several days later.

My friendship with Jess goes back many years as I would have the pleasure of schmoozing with a man who may accurately described as an Uber Mensch. With a terrific sense of the ironies of life and a quick wit a conversation with him was a mitzvah. May his memory be a blessing. Alevah shalom✡️

Jess and I became good friends being in the baseball class at OLLI and we lived in the same neighborhood. Over these years, we have socialized at lunch and just visiting outside of class activities. Whenever we needed books for our classes, Jess always ordered for me which was so nice of him. Our favorite lunch place was Uncle Julio’s where we enjoyed Taco Tuesday together. I miss him greatly.
