Ralph and my dad Julius Bernat worked together for many years at Steven’s Bedding in Chicago. Big Ralph became a fixture in our family’s life, and we spent a lot of time in his yard in Skokie for Bbqs, and I was a babysitter for Janet and Jodie. My dad truly loved Ralph and considered him a very good friend. He and Millie travelled with my parents, and they were all very compatible. They kept in touch after Jules retired, and always seemed to delight in “reminiscing” about their days selling beds! We will always think of Ralph as a big guy with a big heart. My last time in his presence was when he and Jeff’s mom were in the same rehab center 5 yeats ago. His gift to me at that time, was talking about fond memories of my dad and their time together. Condolences to your family on his passing.
