Whenever we would see Mike at shul or walking in the neighborhood, he always had a friendly smile and a warm greeting. He was a real mensch who will be sorely missed. Our deepest condolences.

Such a kind, dear man who will truly be missed by all of us who had the privilege to know him. Even now, after so many months of not seeing him in our second home at Beth Shalom, I can still feel the warmth of his smile.
May his memory be for a blessing.

Dear Schrank Family,
I am a friend of Elana and Seth’s and while I didn’t know Mike, I know of his children and the caliber of people they are – I can only imagine the wonderful and loving Abba and Zaydee that he was. I am just so sorry for your loss. Sending love and prayers – may your memories of time together carry you through in the hard days and months ahead.

Michael was a wonderful person. He was a great addition to our family. He provided loving and deeply encouraging affection for his children and grandchildren. His admiration and pride for his family was without limits. My sister was very fortunate to have him as a spouse. He was a constant participant in a vast variety of religious activities that involved the entire family. Michael was deeply interested in community activities and was a proud fan of Chicago sports teams. He was very supportive of his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. He was lucky to have them live so close by. Michael loved taking the initiative in attending and participating in a wide variety of social and recreational community activities. He was an enthusiastic participant in making a minyan and could always be called upon.
