Leah Ruttenberg (née Binker) beloved wife of Neil Ruttenberg; devoted mother of Allen (Regina) Ruttenberg and Jeffrey (Denise) Ruttenberg; proud grandmother of Jeremy Catania-Ruttenberg, Ana Ruttenberg, Emma Ruttenberg, Eva Ruttenberg and Alex Ruttenberg; Loving sister of Harry (Sharon) Binker and Charlene Brooks Clinkman (Ken Clinkman) and sister-in-law of Evelyn (George) Woycheck; dear aunt of Zach (Ayala) Clinkman, Sol Clinkman, Leilah Binker, Rachel Clinkman, Aaron Woycheck and Alexandra Woycheck; daughter of the late Isaac Binker and Sarah Binker Nussbaum. Leah was a kind and big-hearted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and aunt who wanted to give everyone the world and have happiness around her. Leah was a large part of my teen years. I lived a block away on Foster Ave and I
would frequently go to her house and we would “hang out”. I remember us playing
chop sticks on the piano. I grew up a little Catholic girl and I learned a lot about
being Jewish from Leah and her Mom (whose first name I never knew because
back in those days kids didn’t know adults first names). In short Leah and her Mom had a huge affect on me not only then but for all the rest of the years of my life. I cried the day when I discovered that she has passed and I’m sure I’ll be sad for quite a while. I always hoped that I’d find her and we would get together and “hang out” and gab our brains out catching up on all these years that have passed.
