I want to extend my sincere condolences to the family. As you know not only did I visit your mother as a hospice chaplain but I also used to teach with her at Solomon Schechter and I’ve known her for many years. She was a wonderful and special person!

Saundra was my 1St cousin but more like my older sister. We went to Primary & High School as well as Hebrew School together. We lived in the same building on Harrison St until I was 17.
Saundra was very popular with boys as well as girls. Her attitude was always upbeat and she was a great dancer (like her father Harold). She would join us almost every Sunday after lunch with her parents and help us finish our lunch.
We both started college at the U of I at Navy Pier. I went on to Urbana and Saundra met Irv and married.
I remember after she gave birth to David saying “he’s a boy”. I don’t know anything about raising boys. She was a quick learner.
Even though I moved to California after college the bonds of growing up together were unbroken. When I returned to Chicago on vacation Saundra and Irv were the first relatives I visited after my mother. They visited and stayed with me when I lived in Southern California during one of their vacations.
I will miss my cousin Saundra very much.
