Geraldine Feder Laurence, nee Shulman, 98, passed peacefully on Tuesday , beloved wife of the late Charles Feder and Harold Laurence; loving partner of the late Dr. Irwin Halpert; Worlds Greatest Mother to Marsha (Michael) Goldstein Cathy (Dr. Randall) Nemervoski, Michael (Ava) Feder, and honorary son Scott (Mary) Halpert; adored grandmother of Paul Randy, Melissa , Rian, Jennifer and Rebecca (Nathan) Feder; cherished by great-grandchildren Jordan, Skyler, Julian, Kalman, Maddie Belle, Jackson and Mason; treasured daughter of Gershon and Libbie; devoted sister of the late Reva (Martin) Joffe, Herman (Bede) Shulman and Helen (Leonard) Afton; favorite aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt of so many; remembered by dear friends around the world from Acapulco, to Mission Hills, to Bonaventure to Sedgebrook. Not formally educated, but brilliantly self-taught and fluent in politics, literature, art, foreign culture, world travel and always and everywhere she went, a fashion trendsetter. Chapel Service Friday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the JUF (juf.org).
