Obituary

Rose Rosenthal, age 87, beloved wife of the late Herbert Rosenthal, happily married for 44 years; loving mother of Miles and Risa Rosenthal; preceded in death by her sisters Eleanor Cohen and Hilda Crane and her brothers Marvin and Jack Goldfarb; treasured aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews; Rose will be dearly missed by her good friends Essie and the late Howard Landsman, Renee and the late Arnold Brin and Marilyn and Neal Kirschenbaum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org or the National MS Society, www.nationalmssociety.org. Graveside services Friday, May 28, 12:00 PM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. The service is also available by livestream. Rose was one of the most genuine, sincere, generous and classy women you could ever meet. She had a warm smile and a heart of Gold. Rose was a true ‘foodie’ and loved sharing recipes, her love of different kinds of food, etc.(among countless other things) with her daughter Risa. Rose was a great wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother (to winx)friend, colleague and overrall beautiful soul. Her legacy and spirit will continue to shine like a bright light. It was a true pleasure to have known Rosie and witness the gifts she passed on to the world. You will be missed but never, ever forgotten.
