My heart goes out to all of the immediate family. Auntie Evie was self-effulgent; always smiling and never in a bad mood (characteristics she most likely got from beloved Grandpa Harry). She loved her family dearly, and everyone was always “sweetie,” “honey,” “baby,” or “dolly.” She was my dear Nana Shirley’s baby sister and best friend, and I used to love seeing how happy they were together. Her spirit will always be with us.

To Michael, Elana, and Sherri: Your Mom was a wonderful Aunt. I will always remember the many family dinners and holidays she hosted when we were youngsters, both in Northbrook and Niles. Loved the cheesecake she used to make for dessert. I can’t recall ever seeing her when she didn’t have a cheerful disposition. I think that’s a trait she passed down to the three of you. She will be missed.
Love,
Joel

Evie always walked into a room smiling and lifted up everyone around her. The world is a better place because she was here and will be missed very much.
