Allen Cherin, 78, beloved son of the late Melvin and Ida; loving brother of Janice (Paul “Puloke”) Das; dear uncle of Sheila (Aditya) Rawat and Colin Das; great uncle of Manik and Idaya. Chapel service 10 AM Friday at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. I didn’t have the privilege of knowing Allen. Listening to Janice and other speakers, it is clear that Allen was a kind, generous man with many talents — a real Mensch. He will be missed and remembered by those who knew and loved him. Zichrono l’vracha.
