Leslie A. Blumenthal, 61, passed away suddenly on April 21, 2021; adored daughter of the late Walter and the late Geraldine, loving sister of Barry and Brad (Michelle Heyland) Blumenthal, dear aunt of Samantha, Whitney, Corey Blumenthal and Ellie (Dustin) Moreau, and a great aunt. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to the Jewish Institute for the Blind (www.jewishblind.org) would be greatly appreciated. Private graveside service. 8th Grade Graduation- Haugen Elementary 1973 Cookie, Me, Leslie Cookie later on while attending Beauty School ran into Leslie at a Hair Show at Navy Pier. She said she called her "Bloomin Buns" I will let Cookie know the sad news in the future as she is currently hospitalized with Covid. Maggie Berger

A few weeks ago while going through some old pictures I came across a photo from my 8th Grade Graduation. Leslie was standing next to me. While we were not close, we were friends none the less. I recall her coming to my house & meeting my parents, & my going to hers.
Years later even though we did not stay in contact fate connected us again.
It turned out that a family friends daughter was dating Barry. They later married.
It was his Ex’s sister Betty who informed me of Leslie’s passing.
Life is a mystery. I just hope that she was in a good place when she passed. I will remember Leslie fondly.
