Kenneth Myron Brown

I remember Ken from South Shore High School. He was the smartest kid in my chemistry class. About 3 or 4 years ago we got together with a few of our high school friends.
(Bob Levi, Jerry Edelstein, Bob Silver and Nowell Korey) It was great seeing everyone.

There are so many good memories, from our days in Minnesota to our recent time together at Cubs games. One that sticks out is one of my earliest. I knew I was going to be offered a faculty position at the College of William and Mary in Virginia, but the salary they were offering was unacceptable. I was not good at that sort of negotiation. Ken wrote out something for me to say to the Dean when the job was officially offered. The Dean called me. I read verbatim what Ken had written. The Dean said, okay.

Joel, David my deepest condolences. I dearly miss your dad.
