Barbara “Bobbye” Jay Levine, nee Ovitz, 82, beloved wife and best friend of Walton “Wally” Levine for 58 wonderful years; loving mother of Wendy S. Levine and Janice L. (Douglas) Prysi; devoted daughter of Adele and Ben Ovitz; dear sister-in-law of Harold Levine, Myrle Silverstein (Ben Adams), Sharon (Harry) Witt and Edwin (Glenda) Levine; fond cousin of the late Dinah Zlatnik; treasured aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Bobbye was proud to work at Harper College for many years, was an animal lover and her greatest joy in life was her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Best Friends Animal Society at www.bestfriends.org. Visitation Wednesday 1:00 PM until the time of the chapel service at 1:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Bobbye and I worked together at Harper for 14 years. After she retired, we still got together and occasionally saw each other in the stores around town.

She was a good person and I know she will be missed by her daughters.
