Claire Wolf Krantz

Claire Wolf Krantz, nee Kaplan, 83, beloved wife of the late Dr. David Krantz and the late Sam Wolf; cherished mother of Debby Wolf-Blanks (Scott Patrick), Rachel Wolf (David Schnaper) and Richard Wolf (Katherine Freeze); proud and loving grandmother of Samantha, Jonathan, Max, Matthew, Oliver and Lucy; devoted daughter of the late Etta and George Kaplan; dear sister of Dr. Peter (Dr. Carol) Kaplan and the late Nancy Ohl; treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many. As a fine artist, Krantz worked in both physical and digital media, frequently combining photography with abstract painting, all the while addressing fundamental ideas about how individuals construct themselves and what they encounter in a diverse world. Her art world also involved, in her capacities as freelance critic and curator, a thoughtful and sustained engagement with the artistic and intellectual products of her contemporaries.
