Bernard Fine

Bernard “Bernie” Fine 99, passed away on Tues Dec 20, surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Sam and Molly Fine of Chicago; preceded in death by his brother Sydney (Beverly) Fine and his sister Natalie (Irving Beyda) Rosedale. A graduate of Austin HS he also attended Michigan State Univ. A veteran, he participated in the liberation of Europe during WWII. Loving father of Jennifer (Brian) Scott, Jonathan Fine, the late Anthony “Tony” Fine, and step-father of David Rugendorf, Dana (David) Kantor and Dawn (Teddy) Levine; cherished grandfather of Sarah (Jordan) Brooks, Aaron Bernstein and Olivia Scott; adored great-grandfather of Atticus Brooks; treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews; beloved husband of the late Linda Liss Fine; preceded in death by Yvonne “Pat” Fine and his longtime companion Roberta Topel, he always remained a close part of her extended family. He will be remembered for his wisdom, lust for life and positive attitude.
