I sat behind Bill for 4 years of seminary high school. He was truly a very nice guy.
Here are some thoughts posted by his high school classmates:
Prayers for a good boy & man and his family.
So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing, he was a truly great guy. I kept in touch with him when we both worked downtown, meeting for lunch on occasion. What a legacy with such a beautiful family. He was an outstanding professional, and of course he had that signature laugh. May he Rest In Peace.
Prayers for Bill and his family. Great memories of a great guy !
Knowing Bill, he prepared his family. The strength he instilled in them will carry them through. We are all better to have known him.
Such sad news. Bill was a great friend at St. A’s. We had a lot of good times. Rest in peace.
Thanks for letting us know about Bill’s passing. His family is in my prayers.
While I had not been in touch with Bill for quite some time, I always remember his thoughtfulness and laughter. He was always very kind to so many and so accomplished. What a legacy he has left with such a beautiful family.

I worked with Bill over the past five years or so. Always kind and fair, and had his clients’ best interest at heart. But most of all, he was a good man. I am sorry to his closest friends and family for this loss.

Bill was such a nice guy and I enjoyed so much talking with him during our yearly Thanksgiving visits. Nancy, I am so saddened for your loss but I hope your fond memories of Bill will carry you through this tough time.

Bill was one of the kindest individuals I had the opportunity to work with as a professional associate as well as a friend over the past 25+ years. His wisdom, good humor, and caring had a great impact on my life and career and he will be greatly missed but always remembered.

Bill and I met as kids when we attended Queen of Apostles School in Riverdale from 1957 to 1965. We became close friends in 1965 when we enrolled at St. Augustine Seminary in Holland, Michigan. Upon our graduation in 1969, Bill studied accounting at U of I in Champaign and I went to nearby ISU. Bill always studied hard but found time for fun and games on Green Street. After U of I, he worked for the IRS in Chicago and soon began his graduate degree at DePaul. We became roommates in Hyde Park in 1975 and he was best man at my wedding in 1976. He loved to learn and was passionate about his work. Of course, he had to again further his education and became a top-notch attorney.
Thereafter, we began our families, our careers took off, and we would see each other sporadically. I was delighted to see him and Nancy at our 50th high school reunion in 2019. As usual, Bill looked happy, healthy, and younger than anyone else in our class of ‘69. He could probably still beat me at racquetball. I always appreciated his intellect, his sense of humor, his storytelling, his compassion for others, and his unmistakable laugh. I wish I had known him better as we grew older and wiser. Bill was a great guy.
My condolences to his family and friends.

I got to know Bill during my time at St. Augustine’s in Michigan, and even though it has been many decades since I’ve seen him, I will always remember him as a good person who loved to laugh and enjoy life. My condolences,
