Phyllis Wasserberg nee Serlin, 87, beloved wife of the late Richard and beloved life partner of the late Jerry Podolsky for 25 years; loving mother of Sindi (the late Jeffrey) Lash and Andy Wasserberg; cherished Bubbe of Samantha, Ryan and Molly; dear sister of Bonnie Serlin and Cheri Serlin; many loving nieces and nephews. Chapel service, Thursday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Sindi, Andy…

Your mom has been in my life since before my inception. I have not known a world in which Phyllis 2 did not exist. She was always such a positive, happy presence in my world. I’m so sorry for your loss… It’s very weird to suddenly not have a mom in this world. Big hug!
