Obituary
Edward W. Cann, 97, February 27, 2022; beloved husband and best friend of the late Edith nee’ Pinsof for 68 wonderful years; loving father of Dr. Stephen (Carol), Margot (Phillip) Haber, and Jamie (fiance’ Scott Grossman) Partridge; cherished grandpa of David (Christine Maffucio), Rob (Nicole) Haber, Rebecca (Brian McAllister) Haber, and Jessica and Michael Partridge; much loved great grandpa of Anna Maffuccio, Aurora Haber, and Wren and Roxie McAllister. Edward was preceded in death by his adored older sister Ruthie, who died young and whom he always missed dearly. A distinguished WWII veteran who was awarded the Purple Heart. Edward was a terrific husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was an avid bridge player who made friends easily and who considered all his friends like family. Edward was a passionate history scholar and had a deep love for the arts that allowed him to achieve artist status in acrylic and pastel painting. Edward will surely be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation to the Jewish United Fund (donatenow.juf.org) would be greatly appreciated.
