Irving Amado, 91, August 31, 2022; beloved husband and best friend of June for 23 wonderful years; loving father of Robert, Kathy (Steve) Mazur, and Karen (Ed) Angeli; cherished “Papu” of Brian, Robin, Rachel (Adam) Anderson, Amanda (Blake) Wood, Cassandra (Dave) Kockler, and Toni (Matt) Connor; much loved great grandpa “Papu” of Asher and Mila Anderson, Declan and Collins Conner, Vada Kockler, Jameson and Sullivan Wood, Payton, Abbey and Dylan Amado. I worked for Irving and his family back in 1987 through 1990, and he welcomed me into the Amado family and kept me in their hearts for all the years after I left Chicago. He will be truly missed by everyone. He touched so many lives with love, acceptance, generosity and kindness. I am eternally grateful to him for all the gifts he has given me.
