To the Freibrun family:
Our hearts go out to your whole family. Gerry was such a joy to talk to at our times at The Moorings at Lantana. Dick had such a good sense of humor and Gerry always had kind words for all she spoke with. She will live in all of hearts forever. We’ve had a few conversations on a deep level and value her words. We will miss them both but will see each other again one day.

When my sister and I met Gerry at Shir Hadash, we noticed that she had more than a passing resemblance to our Aunt Natalie. And so we smiled at Gerry, and she never stopped smiling at us. She delighted in seeing my children grow from little kids who had to stand on chairs to see the shofar service to teens to young adults. She always asked about them whenever we saw her.
Gerry was one of the people I really looked forward to seeing again at Shir Hadash at the end of the Pandemic. I am so sad that I won’t get that chance. I will truly miss her.
Please accept my deepest condolences.

Dear Deborah, Eric, Stephen, and Grand Children
Thank you so much for the beautiful words you spoke about your Mother. It was so comforting for us to hear all of Gerry’s virtues said out loud for the Universe to hear. She was one of the most beautiful women that we have known. Her consistent focus on the positive, taught us much and her seeing only the best version of us raised our view of ourselves and our life. Her friendship was a gift to us, which we will greatly miss.
I am sorry for your loss and I hope the pain you now feel will quickly lift to be replaced by all the wonderful memories of your Mother that you hold in your heart.
Always loving your Mother, Best, Diane and Art German

Like most, I was just devastated when I heard the news.
She was truly one of the most wonderful people I have ever met and she will always have a special place in my heart.
Though I did not see “cousin” Gerry and Richard often (here and there in Florida with the Edelsteins) I always enjoyed the visit.
I feel blessed to have known them both.
I know that they are now once again reunited and are both smiling down on everyone they knew!

What a said loss of a long time dear friend, Gerry. Howie and I shared many happy years with Dick & Gerry building our houses in Thorngate, Cruises, Dinners, Birthdays, and visits to Lake Delavan. So much fun and laughter! Gerry was a generous, thoughtful caring friend to all who knew her. She will be missed. Always and forever.

Beautiful Gerry inside and out. We met in Florida poolside and as Gerry always said, we made an instant connection. We will miss her terribly but will always cherish the memories and fun times we had together. May she Rest In Peace next to her beloved Richard.

Gerry was always one of the most friendly of the Shlensky first cousins. She always had a smile and good word even after years of separation. She was very kind and will be missed by her family and the Shlensky cousins.
May she rest in peace!!

Dear Geri,
I was up all last night crying and thinking we would never speak again on the phone.
You always told me how good I made you feel when we spoke And how you look forward to our conversations. The reality is , your friendship, kindness and praise gave me more than you’ll ever realize!
I am disbelief that you are no longer physically with us, but you and Dick will remain in Bernie’s and my heart forever!
So my sweet Geri, travel swiftly and join your beloved Dick and endure in happiness forever!
Your forever grateful loving friends,
Saundra and Bernie-la

Roy and I met your parents at The Moorings and they became fast and wonderful friends. Both of them made us smile and their love for each other was so evident and so strong.
Your mom called me Jill from Baltimore and knew we moved to Delaware but still always referred to me that way and we laughed together.
Your mom was so beautiful inside and out and she will be missed dearly. May she rest in peace and may you be comforted that now she is forever with your Dad.

Met Geri in Morton Grove almost 60years ago. Saw her in her back yard with her son. Our block was full of girls and my son needed someone to play with. Ran across the field, introduced myself. The boys did not become friends but thanks to that chance meeting, we did. I’ll miss you Geri.
