Obituary
Jerry was a self made man who found success in all areas of his life. He served as Vice President of Sealy Mattresses for 35 years, and excelled as an athlete from the time he was young up through his adulthood. Jerry played baseball including on the White Sox Farm team. He was a skilled tennis player who competed in tournaments, matches, and weekly games with a cherished group of friends. He was a force in body and spirit. Above all else, Jerry valued his family whose accomplishments and love gave him the most pride.

Jerry hired me as a Key Account salesman in 1967. At the time I thought I knew how to sell. With his patience and tutelage he made a salesman out of me. He pushed, slightly challenged, nicely expected and cheered as I developed. Jerry had a major influence on who I am and who I became as a result of the ten years I worked for him and the Kaplan family. I’ve thought a lot about him over the years and often wondered how he was doing and now I understand he had a great life living into his nineties.
June and Family I am sorry for your loss but you have to be proud having participated in his life.

Jerry was a Hero and Mentor. For sure the finest leader I work for over 48 years in the mattress/furniture industry. We re-connected a couple years ago over a couple lunch hours and also with June and Jerry for dinner as well.
I grieve for your loss Rotblatt Family. You lost a wonderful person who influenced an enormous number of people over his lifetime.
Affectionately,

It was a great honor to have treated Jerry and June for many years. The two of them always lit up my office.
Morrie Kaplan with whom Jerry work with at Sealy always spoke with such admiration about Jerry.
