Sheldon Milman

Shaldon (Naum) was a wonderful friend of my Mom, Betya Pereslegina, and her sister, Alla Fisher. I met him only twice – back in 1988, when he and his wife came to their home town, Chernivtsi in Ukraine, and again in 2009, when he came to Toronto to celebrate my Mom’s and her sister’s 65th birthday.

Naum stood out as as a man with great kind heart and great sense of humour. When my Mom passed away in 2020, Naum proved to be a real friend of my family, sending me compassionate messages, a picture from their university years back in Kazan, Russia, and flowers for the funeral.

I know numerous people who were friends with Naum and Eugenia, and they all considered themselves fortunate to have these wonderful people in their lives.

My sincere belated condolences to Naum’s sons and their families!

Sheldon, may you rest in peace. Thank you for your kindness for so many years and for being an amazing grandpa to Zoe. You never did a visit without cookies or chocolate and even though we were used to it, they always seemed to be a surprise and put a smile on our faces! Thank you for your kindness to my extended family as well, everyone has fond memories of you.
