Obituary
Morris Robinson, 93, beloved husband of Betty Robinson (née Kaiser) happily married for 68 years; loving father of Holly (William Dempster), and Peggy (Lawrence Levine) Robinson; cherished grandfather of Shari (Rob Frazier), and Jason (Kate Janik) Dempster, Amy (David Silvers), and Sarah (Brian Mintz) Levine; much loved great-grandfather of Emmett, Cora, Harper, Holden, Ethan and Emily. He was proud that his journey took him from very humble roots as a Great Depression child born in Chicago, to serving in the Army in World War II Occupied Japan, graduating from the University of Illinois and later an MBA from DePaul University, and finally a most distinguished career in publishing and market research. As successful as his career was, he believed his finest achievements were his long marriage to his dedicated partner and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will always be remembered for the legacy he has passed to his children; a legacy of strong character, humility, integrity and faith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juvenile Arthritis Research, www.arthritis.org or the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, www.bafound.org. Private services were held at Shalom Memorial Park. Due to COVID we will not be hosting a Shiva. To leave condolences go to www.Shalom2.com.

I worked with Morrie for many years, first downtown and then in Des Plaines. He conducted a lot of research in the building industry, which was always well-regarded. On my first week on the job, Morrie took me to lunch at Carson Pirie Scott on State Street. I’ve always remembered that kindness and was impressed that he invited a new recruit like me to lunch. My condolences to the family.
