Obituary

Sanford Hanberg, 94, of Elkhart, IN, passed away September 17, 2022; beloved husband of the late Geraldine nee Janis; loving father of Dr. Steven (Wendy) Hanberg and Jacqueline “Jackie” (Neal) Nelson; cherished Papa of Mitch and Scott Hanberg.

Sanford grew up in Chicago lL, graduated from Illinois Institute of technology with an electrical engineering degree after serving approximately two years in the Navy.

He married Geraldine Janis in 1957, moved to Morton Grove IL, where they started a family. He worked as an electrical engineer at a variety of companies over his lifetime. His passions were health, computers, tennis, positive thinking, and genealogy. He lived a long, happy life.
