Obituary

Lewis Asher, at one hundred and two years died peacefully surrounded by family at The Selfhelp Home. A lifelong Chicagoan, he served in all theaters of WWII, came home to eventually start an elite printing company, Great Northern Design. He was named printing industry “Man of the Year” by The City of Hope. He is survived by his sister Mary, daughter Sharon (Ken) Bourne, two stepsons Frank (Harriet), and Howard Samuelsohn, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wives Ruth nee Shapiro and Jeanette nee Stoller and his daughter Roberta Asher (John Wetzel). Chapel service, Tuesday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 West Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
