Dan was like a older brother to me… I knew
Dan almost 27 years. So so many closing nights at The Bagel Restaurant, I would worry about Dan closing without anyone their.. This didn’t bother Dan at all.. Well I stayed until he completed the nessary paper work in the office..
The night before Dan passed, I had dinner with him at the counter like usual. There wasn’t a subject that we didn’t cover. Either about the restaurant or my personal life or his..
Maybe the perpetual light forever shine upon you always…
Forever… I will never forget you…

We enjoyed dining at The Bagel. When Danny was there, he was always cordial and welcoming.
May he rest in peace.

To Mitchell and Danny’s Family,
So sad and sorry for your loss. I always liked Dan, found him to be particularly kind, and admired his graceful dignity. As a newbie 6th grade transfer student to Haugan Elementary School this meant a lot to me.
I was so proud that he successfully owned The Bagel restaurants, and very much enjoyed our little chat at the RHS class reunion. He will be missed. God rest his dear soul. May his memory be a blessing to you.

Dan was the consummate gentleman.
He was always a loving presence and it was a delight to be with him.
He will be sorely missed.

My family and I were customers of The Bagel where Danny and his great staff would greet us upon arrival. Danny was always dapper and calm in his public appearance as host. He always had a reserved smile he shared with you, and he gave the restaurant an air of professional quality service you don’t find everywhere. He was there for you when you arrived, during, and after. As a goyim I appreciated the fact that Yhe Bagel was open Christmas day, and we frequently had dinner there that night. Thank you Danny for your loving care of your customers. Thank you to your partner for generously sharing you with us on so many nights of diiners. I was amazed to learn he was a holocaust survivor, though not surprised that that was a part of his worldly loving makeup. You touched my family with your love and dedication.
