So many memories over the years. Not enough recent ones, but Mike, you and Ida enriched our lives in so many ways and we always knew that you were there. Ida was one of the first people to welcome us to our new home in Chicago. She was so generous with her time and talents as she created a welcoming environment for all who shared her building.
I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to spend time with Ida in these past few years.

Although we didn’t see each other, we always communicated on Facebook. I loved following her travel adventures with her friends and her grandchildren. Ida was always sweet, kind and considerate. I’m so sorry for her family’s loss. She was a lovely person.

my first memory of Ida was at “one step at a time” summer camp. Carly was naked, under a bunk bed refusing to come out. After trying without success Ida finally told us to leave her there. (which we did) and Carly went to sleep without her shower. She was a cool lady.

Ida and Ruth always welcomed me, distant family, into the Wagman-Anger-Bolotin family. Especially after my father passed away, Ida’s love and ever welcoming spirit were healing to me in a time of need. Family for me will always be defined by the Passover sedars and Thanksgiving dinners we shared. I also never knew I could look forward so much to gluten-free sweets!

Thank you Ida for giving me family and belonging, I will miss you dearly.
