Marcene Schwarz

Marcene “Marcie” Schwarz, nee DeMatoff, 86, beloved wife of the late Harold; loving mother of Rob (Ally) Schwarz and Missy (Craig) Frier; cherished Bubbe of Dani and Harley Schwarz, Sarah (Jacob) Hanselman, Hannah and Ellie Frier; dear sister of Mel (Maureen) DeMatoff and Leslie (the late John) Hickey; treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Family and friends meant everything to Marcie. Everyone who knew her got to experience her kind, humble, caring, and generous ways. It was often said how sweet she was. That might be in part to her love of sweets, especially ice cream! Marcie worked as a payroll clerk for several decades for a non-profit that helped people with special needs. She was also passionate about making the world a better place, volunteering, politics and the Chicago White Sox. She touched the lives of so many, left an indelible legacy and will forever be missed!

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Scleroderma Foundation at www.scleroderma.org. Chapel service will be Tuesday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W.
