Murray and I met Leon and Arlene six years ago and instantly we knew we met a kind and gentle soul . We llived in the same condo building. Leon taught Murray how to play the game of picklleball. – We went out to social events and dinner and had a lot of fun. We saw Leon a week before he passed and he still was witty and making us laugh. We told him we loved him and we will miss him very much. May he rest in peace. Love, Sylvia and Murray

My last contact with Leon was on our Zoom Meetings with the other Skokie boys joining in fellowship and reminiscing our past adventures and exploits.
One of my early memories of Leon was that our Fathers both had 56 Buicks. They were both four door Rivieras, Leon’s parents was a Special and my Father’s was a Century. We drag raced twice, I think, probably on Dempster, and Leon beat me twice by half a car length.
The Skokie boys were certainly miss Leon and his quiet and respectful demeanor. He was a true gentleman , and while we will say goodbye but he will not be forgotten.

Uncle Leon was a special person in our lives. Our family loved him; especially my mom, Sandra. I am sad that he is gone, but his memory is a blessing to us all.

Leon is what is called a true friend. From the age of 12 until now he he was considered a good friend. From the days of playing sports together , Was there for him when he met Arlene and tied the knot. I went on to live the single life and Leon was the family guy. Did a great job of that. We always kept in touch and met up off and on. He always would talk about sports and his pickle ball game. Leon I’m going to miss you. R.I.P. Love you, Michael Gold

I’ve (Inez) known Leon since we were 14 years old. We lived in the same neighborhood . He’s had a large group of Longtime Fiends. He was always a very kind and had a nice sense of humor. He married my cousin and of course had an on going relationship. He and Arlene raised a very nice Family. We will miss him. I ( Fred) will miss Leon, we always discussed sport teams He being a huge Cub fan and me cheering for the Sox made for friendly opposition!
Rest in Peace Leon! You will be missed.

He was my life long friend since the beginning of our high school days. A really nice person who never had anything bad to say about anyone. He loved sports and was gifted with athletic talent. A true mensch who will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate to have had him in their lives.

My dear and favorite cousin Leon. I remember all the great times spent with you since we were kids and cherish our bond growing up together. I’m grateful that I saw you one last time over the summer and had the opportunity to speak with you when you were in the hospital last week. You’ll be sorely missed by all your numerous friends and family.
