Launa R. Arenson

I first met Launa when I joined MCI in 1983. We worked together for years and remained friends until just a few years ago and then I lost touch. Just read of her passing and wanted to express my condolences to her family. She was a wonderful, positive and energetic friend and will be missed.

So many stories, but if I had to pick one, the most salient memory is of Launa and my mother meeting for the first time in Dallas. They had both been to the Van Gogh exhibit, and at the exact same time my mother said she loved it and Launa said she hated it. It was classic. I raised my glass and said, “Cheers!”, and laughed thinking these are two forces of nature which, at a minimum, should make for an entertaining meal. She was a strong woman and exceptionally proud of her children and grandchildren. Lovely tribute to Launa. I am quite certain she would crow about how wonderful each and everyone of you did and be so very proud. Peace be with you all.

Whenever my sister and I came to visit, Grandma Launa always took us to Nordstrom cafe ! Every time I pass a Nordstrom, I think of her <3

And of course I can’t forget the Winnie the Pooh bedding 🙂
