Obituary

Martin L. Weiland, 89, November 22, 2023; beloved husband of the late Marcia for 61 wonderful years; loving father of Steve (Lila) and Amy (fiance’ Michael Bobrow); cherished grandpa of Hannah (Garrett) Lessem, Sarah and Robert Weiland; much loved uncle and friend. Martin was a life-long member and past board member of Congregation Beth Shalom, a former board member of Florida AandM University, and a life-long supporter of Hadassah. Memorial donations in his honor may be made to Hadassah Chicago North Shore, www.hadassah.org. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Funeral Service, Friday, November 24, 2023, 10 AM at Congregation Beth Shalom 3343 Walters Avenue, Northbrook, IL. I worked for Marty many years ago at Amoco, in the Standard Oil Building. I remember he was a kind, supportive and smart boss. I sometimes still quote him: “I’m usually right, and when I’m not right, I’m nearly right.” What an expression. He was a great man. I’m so sorry for your loss.
