Edith Klehr, nee Savitt, 93, beloved wife and best friend of the late Morris “Skinny” Klehr for over 63 years; loving mother of Gary (Sarah Kass) Klehr, Alan (Laura) Klehr, Cheryl (Abraham Trieger) Klehr and Nancy Klehr; proud grandmother of Julian, Nina, Willie, Lena , Laura and Daniel; devoted daughter of the late Jacob and Rose Savitt; dear sister of the late Shirley (the late Hymie) Strom and the late Leonard (Sheila) Savitt; adored aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Chapel service 12:15 PM Thursday at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anshe Emet (www.ansheemet.org) or Planned Parenthood (plannedparenthood.org).
