Obituary

Rochelle “Chelle” Singer (nee Krisberg) cherished and beloved wife for 43 years, sweetheart, best friend and confidant for 50 wonderful years to the late Herbert J. Singer who remained in her heart always; proud and loved mother of “Corri” Greene and Robert (Carrie) Singer; proud, devoted and loving Meema of Meghan, Emily and Tyler Singer, Skyler, Jett and Echo Greene; much loved sister of Karen Krisberg; sister of Marlo (Susan) Krisberg, aunt of Kim and Sabrina Krisberg; daughter of the late Abe and Bertha Krisberg; sister-in-law of Linda Singer Stein, aunt of Max, Ethan and Raisa Stein; good friend to many. Rochelle was an educator her whole life, earning degrees in Elementary (BS) and Special (Masters) Education and a doctorate in Educational Psychology. She was a Professor of Education and Director of Elementary Education at Barat College in Lake Forest, IL for 15 years following her teaching experience in elementary and early childhood education. Rochelle was active in the Livelong Learning Institute at National Louis University and held several offices as part of the LLI Advisory Council. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation, www.glioblastomafoundation.org. Chapel service Friday, April 7, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
